Agere chipset for SIRIUS satellite radios

Agere Systems (www.agere.com) will provide a system-on-a-chip chipset to manufacturers of SIRIUS (www.sirius.com) radios for delivery to consumers next year.

Agere Systems will provide a system-on-a-chip chipset to manufacturers of SIRIUS radios for delivery to consumers next year. Jim Meyer, SIRIUS’ president of operations and sales said the chipset features significant SoC integration, feature enhancements and size reduction, as well as lower power consumption and improved audio performance, among other features.
