Behr America redesigns EGR cooler

Behr America (www.behrgroup.com) has redesigned its exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler to conform to the latest United States emissions standards for heavy trucks.

Behr America has redesigned its exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler to conform to the latest U.S. emissions standards for heavy trucks. Vehicle makers must reduce nitrous oxide (NOx) and particulate emissions by more than 90% by 2010. Behr America president and CEO Frank Mueller said the new devices achieve double the recirculation rate of cooled exhaust and feature increased power density, pressure strength and vibration resistance.
