The Bluetooth Special Interest Group has equipped a Lamborghini Diablo Roadster to demonstrate new Bluetooth products built with 2.1 + EDR, the current version of the technology.

The Bluetooth SIG has moved Bluetooth high-speed wireless (802.11 or UWB) technology into its testing program. Bluetooth high-speed wireless technology will enable streaming video, large data transfers and bulk synchronization of applications between trusted devices.

The SIG is also promoting its low energy specification, which targets personal sensors in sports, fitness, and medical devices in addition to entertainment and automotive applications. Information is available at www.bluetooth.com/lowenergy.
