Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing, which ranks among the largest semiconductor foundries, has achieved the ISO/TS 16949:2002 quality management system standard certification for all of its 200 mm and 300 mm fabrication facilities--Fab 2, Fab 3, Silicon Manufacturing Partners (SMP or Fab 5), Chartered Silicon Partners (CSP or Fab 6) and Fab 7.
ISO/TS 16949:2002 is currently the industry's most stringent quality management system standard. It defines the quality system elements required for automotive suppliers based on ISO 9001:2000, AVSQ (Italy), EAQF (France), QS-9000 (US) and VDA6.1 (Germany) automotive standards.
