Microchip joins EEMBC automotive workgroup

Microchip Technology Inc. (www.microchip.com) has joined the Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium’s (www.eembc.org) automotive/industrial subcommittee, which is focused on developing system-level benchmarks for automotive applications.

Microchip Technology Inc. has joined the Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium’s automotive/industrial subcommittee, which is focused on developing system-level benchmarks for automotive applications. EEMBC is currently working on its next generation of automotive benchmarks, AutoBench version 2.0.

EEMBC's benchmarks are intended to represent workloads that provide good metrics for comparing system performance. AutoBench Version 2.0 will measure microcontroller cores, buses, peripherals, memory, compilers, operating systems, software drivers and auto-code generators for powertrain, safety systems and body electronics.
