TRW Automotive to manufacture ESC in China

TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. (www.trwauto.com) said its wholly owned subsidiary in China, TRW Automotive Components (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., is investing for increased production of electronic stability control (ESC) and electronic braking systems.

TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. said its wholly owned subsidiary in China, TRW Automotive Components (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., is investing for increased production of electronic stability control (ESC) and electronic braking systems. Initial production of electronic braking systems (ABS-only) is expected to begin later this year for Chang'an Ford Mazda. Production of electronic control units (ECUs) and hydraulic control units (HCUs) and assembly of ESC systems is scheduled for other major Chinese vehicle makers such as Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation, Shanghai GM, Chery, FAW and Lifan.
