The Greater Sacramento Economic Council (GSEC) recently spent time in Europe visiting various cities and attending major trade shows in Germany to build bridges and expand contacts in the electronics industry. In this podcast, we talk to Troels Adrian, former EVP of the GSEC (Troels recently left his position for a new pursuit), about the council’s efforts as well as some of their success stories.

As California’s capital, Greater Sacramento shares deep economic and workforce ties with the Bay Area, offering international companies an ideal, cost-effective gateway to West Coast markets. GSEC also attended Hannover Messe 2025 in Germany, one of the world’s largest trade shows, where they met with 25 international clean tech and mobility companies.

The organization drives community-led actions to retain, attract, grow, and scale tradable sectors, develop advanced industries, and create jobs and investment. Greater Sacramento represents a collaboration among local and state governments, market leaders, influencers, and stakeholders, with a sole mission to drive inclusive economic growth.
