Engineering on Friday 'toon: Cat & Crow Campaign Vol. 2
I think I said the caption for this picture should read: "They can't clean up the planet alone."
From concept piece to campaign start, I moved on to the next drawing. The mission here for the heroes was garbage cleanup — or so said the company asking me to draw. I stepped up my game a little. I tried better coloring and a more detailed background.
Cat can fly now, too, with magical wings! Since Crow can fly, I thought it was only fitting.
It's a sad, sad state of affairs. There's never a moment where some place on the planet isn't a complete garbage disaster. So, I have a lot of pictures I can reference.
I didn't say this in the last post, but the reason I picked those two animals is from watching animals (particularly cats) become friends with other species. I think we've all seen the cat and horse friends. A cat and a deer friendship is popular. I guess this one of a cat and a crow from 27 years ago had a pretty big impact on me. I just remembered it while writing this description! And I thought I was being pretty original.
Although the environmental campaign was canceled, this isn't the end of the adventures of the cat and crow. In the next picture, a professional colorist friend of mine helps bump up the quality. But this will have to wait.
Next week, I'll post my best cartoon. In my opinion, anyway.
