CIRCUIT PROTECTION-Circuit protection products and applications are on display in the new TVS catalog, including firm's TransGuard, StaticGuard and MultiGuard multilayer ceramic transient voltage suppressors. The guide provides users with detailed product specs in addition to information on applications. Schematic diagrams for typical circuits requiring protection as well as application notes on IEC 1000-4 requirements, turn-on time characteristics, motor and relay applications and automotive MUX bus applications, offer readers background information on the use of TransGuard products. The TransGuard transient voltage suppressors are zinc oxide-based ceramic semiconductor devices with non-linear voltage-current characteristics. The monolithic multilayer ceramic construction protects primarily against voltage transients caused by ESD and inductive switching.
