June 17, 2026 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry's leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components™, highlights its comprehensive LoRa® resource center as global adoption of low-power, wide-area IoT networks accelerates. Engineers designing network infrastructure, industrial automation, and smart-sensing applications can access the latest technologies and design insights to shape next-generation wireless connectivity.

As IoT deployments scale from hundreds to millions of connected endpoints, engineers are increasingly turning to LoRaWAN® technology to extend wireless coverage while minimizing power consumption and network infrastructure costs. The protocol's support for longer battery life and long-range communication makes it well-suited for applications where traditional wireless technologies may be impractical or too expensive to maintain. LoRaWAN adoption continues to grow across industrial automation, smart agriculture, and smart infrastructure applications as engineering teams prioritize energy efficiency and flexibility. Through the resource hub, developers can access technical insights into low-power system design, secure wireless communication, and emerging IoT architectures for modern connected devices.

With communication ranges from 2 to 30 miles and ultra-low power consumption that can support devices for more than 10 years on a single battery, LoRaWAN can also be harnessed for sustainability, conservation, and public safety initiatives. Programs, such as "LoRaWAN for Good" led by the LoRa Alliance®, are enabling organizations to use the technology for wildlife tracking, environmental monitoring, and water conservation. Plus, deployments continue to expand across industrial, environmental, and infrastructure applications, making LoRaWAN an increasingly important technology for scalable, low-power IoT connectivity.

Mouser's LoRa resource center offers exclusive content, including articlesblogseBooks, and the latest wireless communication products. Also featured is a new eBook in collaboration with STMicroelectronics, Beyond the Wires: Exploring Bluetooth and LoRaWAN Connectivity, which examines wireless network architectures and the unique requirements for meeting the demands of modern infrastructure.

For the newest products, Mouser stocks the industry's widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, including the newest solutions for LoRa applications. Featured products include:

  • The LoRa Plus™ LR2021 RF transceiver by Semtech is a fourth-generation LoRa IP that supports terrestrial and SATCOM networks in the Sub-GHz, 2.4 GHz ISM bands, and licensed S-Band. The LR2021 is designed to be backward-compatible with previous LoRa devices, ensuring seamless LoRaWAN compatibility. It features expanded physical-layer modulation for fast, long-range communication (FLRC) and is compatible with various low-power wireless protocols. The transceiver is best suited for smart home, security and building automation, industrial automation, and more.
  • The DFR1093 LoRaWAN indoor gateway from DFRobot is a comprehensive solution for applications such as smart agriculture, home automation, education, and greenhouse temperature and humidity monitoring. Available at 868 MHz (EU) and 915 MHz (US), it features a quad-core Cortex-A35 processor and the high-performance Semtech SX1302 transceiver. This gateway offers extensive connectivity and deployment capabilities, a stable signal, a long communication range, and easy operation.
  • The Digi XBee® LR modules by Digi International support LoRaWAN device-to-cloud connectivity with seamless wireless communication integration into end-node sensor products. The modules are ideal for very narrowband industrial communication for sensors and control systems. They enable direct communication with standards-compliant LoRaWAN gateways and network server cloud software over long ranges with very low power consumption.
  • The Sentrius™ RS26x temperature sensors from Ezurio are battery-powered IP67 sensors that deliver HACCP-level temperature monitoring with real-time alerts for food safety compliance. These compact, small-form-factor devices utilize LoRaWAN for long-range data transmission and Bluetooth® LE for over-the-air (OTA) configuration and troubleshooting. Ideal for cold chain monitoring and food safety, smart buildings, and temperature-controlled environment monitoring, these sensors send highly accurate temperature readings that are tested to the EN12830:2018 standard.
