The AVR LA MCUs, available from Mouser, are designed for capacitive touch interfaces and low-power embedded applications. The devices utilize an AVR CPU with a hardware multiplier, running at clock speeds up to 20 MHz, combining flexible low-power architecture with an event system, accurate analog subsystems, advanced digital peripherals, and a peripheral touch controller. The Microchip AVR LA MCUs support capacitive touch buttons, sliders, wheels, and 2D surfaces with Driven Shield+ and Boost Mode technologies, enabling designers to create responsive touch-based interfaces in compact embedded systems.

The AVR LA MCU family provides a robust, reliable and flexible platform for implementing modern, touch-based user interfaces and controls to meet stringent automotive standards and support the trend toward more intuitive and aesthetically pleasing vehicle interiors. The board also supports an adjustable target voltage controlled by the onboard debugger, helping developers evaluate the AVR32LA32 operation across a wide voltage range.
