Analog Converter Card Drives Passive Flat Panel Displays

Aug. 1, 1998

Supporting VGA, SVGA and XGA resolutions without modifications or using a card slot in the PC, FlatPanel-Direct Passive Palette external analog converter card provides a quick and easy method of upgrading products using older CRT technology without incurring the costs of active displays or requiring modifications to PC processor or graphic software drivers. The Passive Palette lets the LCD be located more than 20 feet from the PC and features passive color depth of 8 bits, positioning, automatic resolution detection, and automatic bordering for displaying lower resolutions. A SideShow capability can capture the information presented on the desktop computer and retain it on the auxiliary screen.
