The ultra-small size of this new digital air pressure sensor permits it to be mounted on or near the absorption pad and is connected to the amplifier by a highly flexible cable. Since there is no pneumatic connection between amplifier and sensor head, piping length and, therefore, response time are reduced during the processing of thin labels and other small parts and components. The AP-40 sensor utilizes a high-speed, negative pressure sensing system that detects minute differences in pressure. A large digital display lets the user view and monitor pressure from a distance. Two NPN outputs allow the user to actuate alarms and to control air pressure. An analog output of 1V to 5V enables continuous pressure recording. In addition to the negative pressure sensing head, a 10k type and a coupled pressure type are available, with the amplifier automatically sensing the type of sensor head connected and compensates for it accordingly.
