High-Flux LED Flaunts Three Critical Properties

The company unveils its latest white LED prototype with a claim that it is the first to offer the three important properties that are essential for general illumination apps. These are a color temperature of 3,000K, color rendering index of 82, and an efficiency of 104 lm/W. Reportedly, the pleasant light from the component is the result of an advanced conversion process. At 3,000K, light color is similar to that of a halogen lamp with its color location on the Planckian curve and the light is exactly white, showing no shift to the green spectral region. With an operating current of 350 mA and a surface area of 1 mm2, the prototype achieves a brightness of 124 lm. For more details, call OSRAM OPTO SEMICONDUCTORS, San Jose, CA. (866) 993-5211.
