Targeting the myriad of multimedia applications emerging on wireless handhelds, the GoForce 3D 4500 multimedia processors promise dazzling 3-D graphics, Mpixel digital still images, video capture and playback, and extended battery life. They integrate advanced features, including a state-of-the-art 3-D processor, 3-Mpixel image capture, VHS-quality video capture and playback, and the company?s nPower technology that enables multimedia features while minimizing impact on battery life. They are also said to be the first such devices to include programmable shader technology, which enables desktop-class graphics on handheld devices. Additionally, the processors include a 64-bit 2-D engine, support for removable storage, 1,280 KB of dedicated 128-bit wide SRAM, and support for an array of CODECs and displays.
