Debuting as the industry's first portable tensile strength pull tester for coaxial connectors, the MPT-100 meter provides up to 200 lb. of force to perform ratchet-action destructive pull-type force tests. The meter displays the fail force point on a LCD with 0.56" high digits. And it can operate from an ac adapter or a built-in 12V rechargeable battery. MPT-100 meter is designed to confirm connector compliance with TL 9000 and other pull-force standards. Tests are NIST traceable and accurate to ±0.5% of the reading plus the least significant digit with a resolution of 0.1 LBF. The meter measures 2" x 9.5" x 6.25", weighs 2.5 lb., and accepts both 734 and 735 coax cable. Other models are available to accommodate other cable sizes and connector types. And the meters also feature an internal calibration test verification function. A complete MPT-100 costs $2,250. MIDTEL TECHNOLOGIES INC., Arlington Heights, IL. (847) 818-9007.
