Six new mixed-signal and digital-storage oscilloscopes comprise the next-generation of Infiniium 9000 series scopes. The instruments feature true analog bandwidths of up to 4 GHz and built-in logic and protocol analysis capability. Each model is equipped with the industry’s largest screen, a 15-in. XGA LCD display, and comes in a portable package measuring just 9 in. deep and weighing only 25 lbs. The digital channels run at 2 Gsamples/s, providing a rich set of mixed-signal oscilloscope (MSO) trigger conditions for more accurate analysis of timing relationships between control signals and data buses. A very broad suite of debug and compliance application software includes numerous general-purpose measurement and analysis features. Debug application software includes protocol triggering and viewing for PCIe and USB; serial decode and trigger for I2C, SPI, CAN, RS-232 buses, and other UART microcontrollers; rapid core-assisted debug of designs with Xilinx or Altera FPGAs; InfiniScan for triggering on infrequent signals that meet digital criteria; and others. Compliance testing applications include communication mask testing, DDR1, DDR2, DDR3, Ethernet, and USB 2.0. The digital-storage scopes come with bandwidths of 1, 2.5, and 4 GHz at prices from $19,900 to $37,500. The three MSOs have similar bandwidths and include 16 logic channels. They are priced at $23,900 to $41,500. AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES INC., Santa Clara, CA. (800) 829-4444.
