Enriching the Cell Master MT8212B handheld analyzer, three options expand measurement capabilities to include RF, demodulation, and over-the-air (OTA) CDMA2000 1xEV-DO signals. Two additional options, Power Monitor and Bias Tee, allow it to measure transmitter power in back-haul networks up to 50 GHz and apply dc and RF signals to the test device, respectively. The RF option expands measurement capability to include Pilot/Mac power, Pilot power, frequency error, measured bandwidth, idle/active activity, and idle/active data. The demodulator option displays code-domain power as Mac code or data power. Mac code power measurement displays are Pilot/Mac power, noise floor, Rho overall 1, Rho overall 2, Rho pilot, data modulation type, channel power, frequency error, EVM, pilot time tolerance, and carried feed through. Data code power measurement displays both I and Q channels. A 1xEV-DO demodulator and a GPS are required for the OTA option, which displays Pilot dominance, multi-path power, the three strongest pilots with power, and the two strongest multi-paths relative to the strongest pilot. Prices for the RF, demodulation, and OTA options are $1,250, $3,400, and $1,875, respectively. ANRITSU COMPANY, Morgan Hill, CA. (408) 778-2000.
