Sheets Prevent Bacterial Buildup On Touch-Screens

The Clarex non-glare, optical-quality acrylic sheets are specially coated to prevent the reproduction of bacteria on touch-screens while enhancing display legibility. The coated sheets are said to virtually eliminate the reproduction of escherichia coli and staphylococcus aureus, while enhancing the quality of letters, numbers and images on LCDs, CRTs, LEDs, Els, PDPs, VFDs and FEDs used in touch-screens in food service facilities, medical equipment, vending machines and point-of-sale systems. The cast acrylic material's non-glare feature is achieved by a very fine etching on the surface that reduces light reflection to minimize glare. The anti-bacterial coating is combined with a scratch resistant coating to maximize display protection.
