A series of dual-output integrated switching regulators (ISRs) is designed to power the latest generation of dual-voltage DSPs, including TI's 'C6x Series. The PT6920 Series ISRs are 25W modules available with fixed outputs of 3.3V at 6A and 2.5V at 2.2A. The second output can also be set at 1.8V to accommodate next-generation DSPs. In addition, both outputs are independently adjustable with an external resistor. The second output voltage can be set as low as 1.2V. A 5V input voltage makes it easy to incorporate the PT6920 ISRs into existing power systems.Internal sequencing meets the latest requirements of the TI DSPs for voltage ramp-up and ramp-down. Other features include remote sense for both outputs, a standby mode, and overtemperature protection.
