With its finger on the pulse of wireless LANs, the WL1141 includes a baseband DSP, 2.4 GHz radio, and an EEPROM in a single multi-chip module to provide a highly integrated 802.11b PHY radio module. The DSP is a mixed-signal digital/analog baseband processor that performs the IEEE 802.11b physical layer baseband functions and supports DBPSK, DQPSK, and CCK modulation. Raw data rates are 1, 2, 5.5, and 11 Mb/s. The 2.4 GHz radio consists of the RF transceiver, power amplifier, and Tx/Rx diversity switch. Other features include 14 802.11b channels, 32 KB of EEPROM, an output power of 15 dBm, and operation from a single 3V to 3.6V power supply. AGERE SYSTEMS, Allentown, PA. (800) 372-2447.
