Based on a DSP architecture and consisting of a dual-channel codec and two single-channel SLIC chips, the DuSLIC chipset is designed for making two-channel analog terminations. The three chip set is optimized for access network and customer premise applications. It offers integrated DTMF generation, DTMF decoding, FSK generation (Caller ID) and three-party conferencing. Traditionally, these system functions were handled centrally or required a number of additional components and high-end microcontrollers. The DuSLIC chipset's rate-adaptive echo cancellation complies with ITU G.165 standards. This function allows elimination of the echo where voice is digitized, enabling improved performance and eliminating the need for network-based echo cancellation.
