The number of output voltage variations has increased from one to nine for the WPA60 dc/dc converter. Each of the units from the range delivers two independently regulated outputs that provide full regulation down to zero load. Already compliant with VDE EN60950 and UL/CUL 60950 safety requirements, the extended choice of voltage configurations means the WPA60 can be matched to the latest ASIC and DSP applications requiring the reliable delivery of low operating voltages. The range of outputs comprises 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2.2, 2.5, 3.3 and 5.0 Vdc. For greater flexibility, power can be traded between the outputs up to the full 60W rating. The quarter-brick-sized WPA60 units have an input range of 36V to 75V with input and output filtering. Besides remote on/off capability, every model in the range has an option for negative logic control. Built-in functionality includes under voltage lock out, soft start capability, under current and over voltage protection, and over temperature shutdown. All units in the WPA60 range use a fixed frequency of 350 kHz and operate with an efficiency of about 90%. Pricing is less than $55 each in OEM quantities. C&D TECHNOLOGIESW INC., Tucson, AZ.
