Targeting users of Altera’s QuartusII software, the company’s downloadable PCI core provides the ability to embed PCI functionality into products with what is claimed to be unprecedented ease-of-use. The core comes with all of the information required to make it work: a single drop-in SOPC Builder component, pin types, and constraints. It features separate clock domains, 800-1900 LEs, and is PCI 2.3 compliant. Additionally, the company’s IP Done Right concept provides a 1-1-1 license. From the time of purchase, the user owns a one-year development license including unlimited instantiations, email support, and updates OVER the timeframe of the license. The agreement also guarantees that projects initiated during the subscription period receive perpetual maintenance rights. Price for a single user is $2,500. OMNIWERKS INC., Campbell, CA.
