The SN65xxx family of positive emitter-coupled logic (PECL) buffers, translators, and splitters for clock and data management provide flexibility by operating at various power supplies of 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V. The SN65LVEP11, a 3-GHz differential, one-to-two fanout buffer, operates with either a 3.3V or 2.5V supply while the SN65EL11 buffer reports data-throughput rates at speeds up to 67% faster than comparable devices. The family is available in a range of speeds from 430 MHz to 3 GHz. Prices range from $2.40 to $5.50 each/1,000. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Dallas, TX. (800) 477-8924.
