Capable of significantly extending battery life, TMS320C5409 1.2V DSP is well-suited for personal audio applications, thanks to its small size and balance of power, peripherals and performance. The tiny, ultra-low power dissipating device fits well into applications such as cochlear implants, hearing aids, and wireless devices. A variety of other DSPs that can operate from 1.2V to 1.8V at 30, 80 or 100 MIPS processing speeds, along with ancillary supervisor circuits also are being introduced to form a host of very low power DSP solutions.
