Specifically designed for use on stepper and servo motors, the Models FEB, RFEB and SSB brakes are power-off or fail-safe units that are claimed to easily mount to the front end of the motor as an added safety feature or for holding the load in place. A power-off or fail-safe brake holds the load when the power is turned off, power-off/brake-on. The brakes are available in voltage ratings of 24 and 90 vdc and two sizes to fit NEMA-23 and NEMA-34 motor frames. The SSB is also available in a NEMA-42 version. Custom designs, including special mounting flanges, shaft configurations, wire terminations, and voltages are also available.
