The company's new family of low-inertia dc motors are claimed to be capable of achieving precision angular accuracy in severely dry environments and in uncommonly high altitudes. Their design is non-dependent on the commutation energy discharge ion layer between brush face and commutator. The rugged dc motors also feature a hollow, iron-less, basket-wound armature over a stationary permanent magnet structure. Other features include silver-content brushes, ratings up to 5 hp with a speed of 10,000 rpm, and custom voltages from 12 to 240 vdc.
