Gearhead Lives Longer, Performs Brighter

April 8, 2010
Built to provide longer life and higher performance than similar gearmotors in the same size package, the WX high-torque gearhead drives applications such as conveyor systems, packaging equipment, metering devices, and commercial appliances.

Built to provide longer life and higher performance than similar gearmotors in the same size package, the WX high-torque gearhead drives applications such as conveyor systems, packaging equipment, metering devices, and commercial appliances. The exterior of the WX gearhead is identical to older W models with the internals completely redesigned. Features include steel helical gears and synthetic lubricant. The steel gearing is designed to AGMA 9 standards or higher and the synthetic lubricant improves lifespan and allows the unvented gearmotors to operate over a wide temperature range. Gear ratios range from 4:1 to 312:1. The 12 WX stock models are configurable for a three-hole mounting pattern via a simple bolt-on adaptor plate.  Additionally, the WX gearhead is paired with the company’s latest three-wire reversible 34R, 100-mm diameter, single-phase 1/7 HP motor winding.
