Limited Angle Torque Motor Runs Smooth And Cog Free

Dec. 29, 2011
The LAT40-48 BLDC limited angle torque motor exhibits zero cogging and high peak force in a 100-mm diameter x 100-mm stack length package.

The LAT40-48 BLDC limited angle torque motor exhibits zero cogging and high peak force in a 100-mm diameter x 100-mm stack length package. Its’ rotor has no preferred position and the motor easily controls a 30° excursion with no commutation. Rare earth magnets create a power density of 10.08 oz.-in. Watt. Other characteristics include a ±15° stroke, peak torque of 21.5 Nm, and single-phase winding. BEI KIMCO MAGNETICS, Vista, CA. (800) 572-7560.
