Slotless BDC Servos Deliver Smooth And Precise Motion

Sept. 13, 2011
The Series 3400, 4400, and 5400 slotless brushless DC (BLDC) servo motors employ a design that minimizes magnetic cogging, or reluctance torque, resulting in smooth, quiet, and precise motion.

The Series 3400, 4400, and 5400 slotless brushless DC (BLDC) servo motors employ a design that minimizes magnetic cogging, or reluctance torque, resulting in smooth, quiet, and precise motion.  They are available in three frame sizes: NEMA 14, 17, and 23. Depending on model, the motors achieve maximum continuous torques up to 43 oz.-in. All versions feature Hall-sensor feedback motor commutation, high starting torque, and variable speed control with appropriate drive electronics. Options include gearboxes, encoders, drives, and brakes. AMETEK TECHNICAL & INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS, Kent, OH. (877) 748-8626.
