    A new micro rotary encoder the size of a pencil eraser contains over 100 contact points that can produce a like number of pulses of output position control. With this magnituder of contact points, the product--the MES6--delivers the most accurate and precise tolerances for motion control applications, according to the company. This combination of attributes is expected to open the door for new and creative product development and miniaturization for a variety of industries including medical, instrumentation, military and robotics. The MES6 will be available in Q4.
