Littelfuse’s SP3012-06UTG low-capacitance transient-voltage-suppression (TVS) diode array is optimized to protect sensitive chipsets on high-speed data lines from any external electrostatic-discharge (ESD) event. It absorbs ESD strikes above the maximum level specified in the IEC61000-4-2 international standard (Level 4) without performance degradation. Reduced clamping voltage—dynamic resistance is 0.4 Ω—boosts chipset reliability. Capacitance measures a mere 0.5 pF. Contact discharge is ±12 kV, and air discharge rating is ±25 kV. The array comes in a 3.5- by 1.35- by 0.5-mm µDFN-14 package. Printed-circuit-board traces can run directly underneath the device, minimizing trace discontinuities. Applications include USB 3.0 and HDMI port protection on LCD/PD TVs, DVD/Blu-ray players, desktop PCs, MP3/PMPs, set-top boxes, smartphones, ultrabooks/notebooks, and digital cameras.
