Custom PC maker MAINGEAR updates its SHIFT, F131, and Quantum SHIFT desktop PCs with second-generation Intel Core i7 processors Extreme Edition and the company’s exclusive EPIC Audio Engine. Targeting power users, the systems offer features like Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 and Hyper-Threading Technology and they can also be over clocked up to 5.2 GHz. These platforms are also thought to be the first to feature quad-channel memory, offering up to 102% memory performance that is more than twice the memory bandwidth of the previous generation.
