Three high-resolution, Σ-Δ analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) function for the instrumentation and industrial sensor measurement markets. The AD7708 is a multichannel, 16-bit ADC that supports four or five fully differential inputs or eight or 10 pseudodifferential inputs. The AD7718 is a 24-bit version that is pin-, function-, and software-compatible with the AD7708.

The AD7719 dual Σ-Δ ADC integrates a 24-bit ADC and a 16-bit ADC on the same device. This configuration enables simultaneous conversion of two signals and increases throughput in a multiplexed application. The device also incorporates switchable current sources, low-side power switches, and a temperature sensor.

All three ADCs consume 2 mA at 3 V in the normal mode. Less than 10 µA is consumed in power-down mode. The ADCs are available in 28-lead SOIC and TSSOP packages.

The AD7708, AD7718, and AD7719 cost $3.98, $5.24, and $8.76 each in 1000-piece quantities.
