Version 2.0 of Measure, a software package for direct data acquisition and control using Microsoft Excel on Windows 95/NT PCs, features easy-to-use dialogs for setting up acquisition and control operations. Users can configure and control data acquisition hardware, as well as serial or GPIB instruments, and drop acquisition results directly into spreadsheet cells for analysis and graphing.Version 2.0 adds support for the DAQ Channel Wizard, which greatly reduces the time spent defining signal types, connections and transducer equations before beginning development of a system. Users simply fill in dialog windows to define an input signal, the type of transducer being used, any scaling factors required, CJC values, and unit conversion factors. Current Measure users can upgrade for free by downloading the new version.
