Capable of switching communication signals over 100-Ohm differential-pair cables, the 40-736 PXI multiplexer module supports signals ranging from plain old telephone service (POTS) and USB 2.0 to Ethernet including Gigabit Ethernet. When switching Gigabit Ethernet, the module configures as an 8:1 multiplexer and for 100 Base-T and AFDX applications it is configurable as a 16:1 multiplexer with the capability to reverse the transmit and receive pair. Input and output signals travel over a 78-way D-Type connector and an interface adaptor card is available for converting these signals to an 8:1 Ethernet MUX on RJ-45 connectors for direct connection to an Ethernet cable. Additionally, software drivers are available to support all major test programming environments. PICKERING INTERFACES INC., Grants Pass, OR. (541) 471-0700.
