Addressing portable multimedia applications, the QVGA and QCIF+ ready-to-use reference designs provide all the necessary hardware and software for product differentiation. At the heart of each is the LH7A404 ARM9 SoC that operates at clock speeds up to 266 MHz. Shared features include: support for WMV, MPEG4, WMA, AAC, MP3, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, and GIF formats; MMC and SD card support; stereo headphone jack; li-ion charge circuit; power via 5V input, battery, or USB; and support for WinCE .NET, µC/OS II, ThreadX, and VxWorks operating systems. The QCIF+ includes a 1" compact flash microdrive, USB 2.0 full-speed interface, and a 2.2" LCD. The QVGA includes 1.8" IDE ATA support, a USB 2.0 high-speed interface, and a 3.6" LCD.
