Employing MaxStream technology, the stand-alone XTend and XStream RF modems, and XPress Ethernet bridge operate within industrial, scientific, and medical bands and require no configuration to provide a wireless link out of the box. The XTend and XStream modems provide reliable serial cable replacement. The XTend operates at 900 MHz and can provide up to 40 miles of range in line-of-sight conditions. The XStream comes in both 900-MHz and 2.4-GHz models and delivers up to 20 miles of range under ideal conditions. Both are offered in industrial-grade enclosures providing extended temperature tolerance and moisture protection. When using Ethernet cable is cost prohibitive or impractical, the XPress Ethernet bridge allows users to wirelessly connect a data system to an Ethernet network. It operates at 900 MHz, consuming 125 mW of power, and provides up to 15 miles of line-of-sight range and a data rate of 1.5 Mb/s. DIGI INTERNATIONAL, Minnetonka, MN. (877) 912-3444.
