The Parvus DuraCOR 80-41 from Curtiss-Wright is a size, weight, power, and cost (SWaP-C)-optimized subsystem to extend the performance of compact, lightweight rugged mission computers. It is powered by a multi-core Intel Core i7 Haswell processor to deliver higher computational performance, more powerful graphics, improved I/O, modular expansion, and greater data storage compared to older models—all while reducing overall size and weight by 25%. The DuraCOR also adds built-in support for Mini PCIe I/O expansion modules and uses high capacity mSATA SSDs to further improve its overall SWAP-C envelope. The DuraCOR will help speed up and ease the integration of high performance civil and military tactical mission processing aboard ground vehicles and fixed wing or rotary aircraft.
