Version 8.x.6 of ICAP/4Windows, a powerful analog and mixed-signal circuit design tool, adds several significant features. Chief among these is Simulation Templates, which are command scripts that direct the tool's IsSpice4 simulator to perform complex simulation and data analyses. Initially, Simulation Templates includes scripts to perform worst-case, RSS, sensitivity and EVA analysis for ac, dc and transient analysis as well as traditional operating-point analysis.The templates change parameters one at a time, measure and record the resulting changes in circuit operation, and provide a summarized report. Tight integration of the templates into the simulator greatly increases processing speed because the simulator is not exited or reloaded and netlists need not be recompiled.
