Now that the industry is seeing the beginnings of third-generation (3G) services, everyone is rushing to get their products to market. To hasten the process, RADVISION has released its 3G-324M Toolkit. For network-equipment and mobile-device manufacturers, this toolkit promises to improve time-to-market by simplifying and accelerating the development process for high-performance, standards-based 3G-324M wireless products. Based on RADVISION's H.323 Protocol Toolkit, the 3G-324M incorporates sophisticated call-control functionality. Developers can therefore implement enhanced functionalities like advanced-terminal-capabilities exchange and rich-conference-control services.

The toolkit enables the development of wireless multimedia applications and services. An example is videoconferencing and video streaming for 3G mobile phones over existing circuit-switched networks. Vendors can use it to develop and offer differentiated, delay-sensitive real-time multimedia applications and services. Examples include multimedia/video conferencing with other 3G mobile users and/or wirelined H.323 or SIP terminals; custom video-on-demand; video streaming/cell-phone TV; and multimedia/
multi-participant gaming.
