Providing a secure, flexible and free way to access remote devices and appliances via standard Internet protocols, GoAhead WebServer 2.0 standards-based embedded Web server features new ports and an improved user interface. Version 2.0 leverages embedded JavaScript, a strict subset of JavaScript optimized for small footprint environments. It is reported to be the only open source, embedded Web server that uses Active Server Pages, embedded JavaScript and in-memory CGI processing to deliver an efficient method of dynamic Web page creation. Other new features include ports to more operating systems and an improved user interface. A ROM packaging utility for Web pages is also included. The source code can be downloaded from the firm's website.
