Developed for the wireless local area network (WLAN) market, the V800ME11 is a compact, low-profile VXCO that generates between 2,400 and 2,485 MHz within a control voltage range of 0.7 to 4.2 Vdc. This makes the device suitable for quick integration into PLLs where the error voltage can be taken directly from the IC's charge pump circuitry. It exhibits spectral purity of -97 dBc/Hz typically at 10 kHz offset. In addition to low noise performance, the drive further enhances any WLAN due to its 1.1:1 linearity over frequency and temperature. The device conserves energy by operating off a 5 Vdc source while drawing only 15 mA of current. Available in an industry standard, low-profile SMT mini-package measuring 0.5'' x 0.5'' x 0.13'', the device is priced at $15.95 each for prototyping.
