Processing and Connectivity Tech Foments a Safer, Smarter, and Sustainable World

Texas Instruments will demonstrate the latest embedded processing and connectivity products for a safer, smarter and more sustainable world, showcasing the latest advances in application areas such as robotics, energy transition, and electric vehicles. TI’s latest semiconductors, intuitive software, and design expertise can help developers create and optimize their designs to be smarter, safer, and more adaptive.

Highlights include smart multi-display HMI systems with AI using scalable Arm-based processors with integrated AI accelerators that enhance computing performance and can run up to three displays simultaneously. Able to handle the most complex HMI systems, the solutions are supported by a unified software platform for maximum reuse. Over 100 MCUs have been added to its Arm Cortex-M0+ MCU portfolio since the last year's embedded world, with options to match any design requirement for memory, analog integration, or size.

TI’s highly integrated embedded processors like the TDA4VM in the mobile robot safety controller of Amazon Robotics' Proteus autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) underscore the importance of innovative semiconductors in safety systems for next-generation AMR applications. There will also be embedded technologies and reference designs for perceptive sensing, precise motor control, real-time communication, and AI capabilities.

The company will show a wireless bidirectional GaN-based solar microinverter to improve monitoring and rapid shutdown procedures through an Internet Protocol v6-based, sub-1-GHz wireless network that's able to be commissioned via Bluetooth Low Energy. Another demo features a reference design for variable-frequency air-conditioner outdoor unit controllers in heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning applications, with sensorless three-phase permanent0magnet synchronous-motor vector control for compressor and fan motor drives.

One of the largest gatherings for the embedded systems community, the embedded world Exhibition & Conference will get underway on April 9 and continue through April 11 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center in Germany. Attendees can get caught up with the state of the art in embedded systems and meet interesting people from around the embedded electronics industry.

The annual event is where key players, experts, and industry associations from the embedded systems arena come together, not only for networking, but also to learn about the latest technologies firsthand. These opportunities are reflected in its tagline, "Connecting the embedded community."

embedded world will focus on important industry topics in addition to showcasing the latest technologies and solutions, such as cybersecurity, AI, and the optimization of embedded systems. Last year’s event brought together 950 exhibitors from 44 countries and almost 27,000 visitors to the exhibition halls during the three days, with over 40% coming from abroad. This year’s show promises to be very interesting and informative.
