The QML-certified Virtex line of FPGAs has been added to the firm's QPRO family of products for the aerospace and defense markets. The Virtex FPGAs, with up to one million system gates, are an off-the-shelf, system-level ASIC solution for aerospace and defense applications without the NRE charges, long prototype cycles and minimum volumes required for custom ASICs. They also alleviate the problem of product obsolescence that is continually faced by system-level designers.
