Several types of tools in digital oscilloscopes will allow the user to decode serial data streams or trigger on certain addresses or data values.   This paper examines more advanced diagnostics which can be used for systems which incorporate I2C,SPI, UART, RS-232, CAN, LIN, Flexray, DigRF 3D, DigRF v4, ARINC 429 or MIL-STD-1553 busses.
