The SVM3500 VME/VXS Module is a quad-channel, 12-bit digitizer with >2-GHz analog bandwidth. A mezzanine board incorporates a clock distribution circuit allocating in-phase, anti-phase, or quadrature clocks to support interleaved sampling rates at up to 2 GS/s. The analog performance, including a SFDR up to 80 dBc at 500 MS/s and 70 dBc at 2 GS/s, THD of 80 dBc at 500 MS/s and 79 dBc at 2 GS/s, and SNR over 62 dBc, maintains >10 effective bits over a 10-MHz to 1-GHz band.
The board has an aggregate data bandwidth >3.5-GB/s and provides high-performance, real-time data processing by means of two very large Xilinx Virtex-4 FPGAs.
