Bidirectional IL/RL meter measures via no-mandrel method

The OP931 Bidirectional Insertion Loss and Return Loss Test Set provides fully automated, concurrent dual IL and RL wavelength readings. It incorporates a fiber-optic power meter and various detector options for single-fiber, MT-RJ, and MTP/MPO multifiber connectors and can be used for fiber-optic cables and components from simplex and duplex to 12 channel counts or higher. The meter also performs auto­mated dual- or quad-wavelength bidirectional insertion loss measurement.

The OP931 measures return loss on multimode GbE cables and features a USB interface for custom applications or an included OPL9 application support for writing directly to a spreadsheet. Neither matching gel nor mandrel wraps are required for measuring single-mode return loss from 10 dB to 80 dB or multimode from 10 dB to 55 dB.
