Framework allows programming in most operating systems
DAQFlex 1.0 is an OS-independent software framework that consists of an API; a message-based command set; and a lightweight, open-source driver that interfaces to select data acquisition devices over the physical layer. The API uses a message-based command set that helps to reduce programming complexity.
Drivers are provided for Windows 7/XP/Vista (32/64-bit), Windows CE, Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, and OpenSUSE distributions), and Mac OS X. Users can create programs on these operating systems with company-supplied drivers using development environments that support .NET and Mono frameworks. Custom drivers also can be built on standard USB drivers like WinUSB for Windows, libusb for Linux, or kernel-mode USB drivers by modifying the open-source code.
DAQFlex 1.0 is included with the company’s USB-7000 Series DAQ Boards and the USB-2001-TC Temperature Measurement Module.
